With Apocalypse having 7072 posts and showing 1 new for me, I clicked on the thread, and got this message:

It's because I'm in the middle of fixing it.

Looks good to me. I had the double-size totals, but when I clicked in the thread everything was back to normal.
Beep me shows -32 new messages and an empty screen whenever I click Read New.
Well, not an empty screen, but the Beep Me screen with the top and bottom menu bars and no messages.
Oh, that explains it. When I hit Read New firs thing, it took me to Beep Me. It took me several posts, but I finally realized I was back in 2002!
that would have happened to me, except I was one of the Beep Me posts, saying that I was going to be in Chicago. I was like "I'm not going to Chicago"
Connie, refresh the screen you're clicking on Beep Me from and tell me if it still happens.
I refreshed both the home page I go to when I click on Buffistas in my Favorites and my Message Center, and no change. I'm on Windows XP Pro SP 3, and I'm on my corporate connection.
Try now--you must have been reading while I was tweaking.
