I don't know what caused it. It turns out that along with stompies, the laistas, nyistas, and midwest lists were missing from the qmail aliases directory, even though Plesk insisted they existed. It's possible that the filesystem was corrupted after the crash.
In Plesk, I checked off the missing lists, and clicked the "On/Off" button twice. Once the lists were restarted, the mail alias files were restored.
Now that man? He's a hero.

Heh. Tom, could you check the Somervillain list as well? I can't get in to make any changes (or clean out the spam).
ETA: And I know I'm using the right password...
Spam registrations have really spiked the past two days. Maybe it *is* worth throwing a CAPCHA into the reg process?
How about a brief grammar test?
I know of one blog that asks a simple question that must be answered in order to post a comment. e.g. "What color is an orange?" That might suffice for our purposes.
