All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think adding a subfolder is only going to be useful if we get a lot more of the threads off of that index page.

I agree, that may be the next logical step. I just think deciding what-goes-into-what-folder and what-do-we-call-each-folder will take longer to agree on for the other threads.

eta I'm so rarely on the front page that I didn't realize the red bar said "Subfolders." It would probably be better if it said "Folders" but I have no idea if that is a simple edit or if it has to be that way because of the code.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I think we should just let ita do what she thinks is best and then sit back and see if it works the way most people like it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I also wanted to mention that I really hope we don't change the order that threads come up in

Did I miss something? Was this suggested too?

I can flip the subfolders to above the thread list pretty easily.

I said I found it confusing to find things on the front page *because* they change based on activity, and that folders would make it easier to find the threads you were looking for. But no one suggested (I don't think) changing the way threads move position based on the last post in each.

Flipping the subfolders above the thread list sounds peachy. I vote for piling in all the TV and movie threads you feel like, ita.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I personally don't like the way it looks looked for a few minutes, with the folders, especially the closed thread folder, above the others.

I am also still opposed to folders for open threads.

On the other hand,

I think we should just let ita do what she thinks is best and then sit back and see if it works the way most people like it.

This is more true.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Is there a way to fix the order in which the folders are displayed, or is it first in, first out?

Many people fear change. Many people need to get over it.

Also, many people need to utilize the AWESOME subscribe/unsubscribe links and use Message Center.

There is no change to how Message Center works or looks.

Because books.

I love Message Center. The only time I see the front page is when all my threads are quiet, and I'm looking around for conversation elsewhere, or when I initially load b.org.

I like change. That doesn't make me like the folder idea or look.
