River: You're not right, Early. You're not righteous. You've got issues. Early: No. Oh, yes, I could have that. You might have me figured out, then. Good job. I'm not 100%.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Could everything be either media or community?

Or technology.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'd put B-tech into the community category.

Why? I mean, it isn't one. If the category name doesn't help you find the thread, then the thread shouldn't be in it, should it?

Visilurking

Firefly's not only not on TV anymore, it's a movie. Into a media folder, sure. Into a TV folder ... I don't think so.

I'm not trying to be a naysayer, but despite the upcoming movie, to me FF is always going to be a tv show. Yclassification-of-canceled-series-made-into-moviesMV.

That's not something I'd even try and argue you out of. Firefly hasn't stopped being a TV show just because they're making a movie. But I don't think it's scandalous to suggest that the thread discussion even now is on-topic broader than TV, by a good bit, and will get broader yet once the movie goes into wide release.

Hmm. I think maybe the initial distinction in my head was things people would come here for versus things people who are already here would be into. But then that puts the music thread into my community pile, which seems weird, too.

Just having TV and Other doesn't feel all that organizationally useful to me, although I guess if you add the spoiler threads and etc. it's a good chunk of our stuff.

What about fanfiction?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

What about fanfiction?

What is even happening?

This is along the same idea as Liese's suggestion, but I don't know how to do the table things, and the breakdown is a little different... Notes in parentheses wouldn't appear. They're just there to make it clear what's what.

FOLDERS
We began as a single Buffy the Vampire Slayer discussion thread at Salon's Table Talk forum. When Salon went pay-for-play, we fled to World Crossing, while our resident techno-stars built the Phoenix. Not only have we risen from the ashes, we've grown exponentially, so we've added some organization, to help you if you're looking for Buffista discussion on other topics, as well. Take a look.

I like Liese's categories. I thought ita was still advocating a purely TV folder.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I like Liese's categries, too. I will point out that Buffy and Angel were in a different folder from Natter at WX (and TT, for that matter, although for different reasons).
