Browsers sometimes do peculiar things. Firefox will occasionally decide that a typed apostrophe should be interpreted as [crtl]f, so it not so helpfully opens the find dialog and starts looking for whatever it was I typed after the apostrophe before I notice that the cursor is no longer where I thought it was. Restarting fixes it.

Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Are you trying to tell me that if you do the exact same thing repeatedly on a computer you may not get the exact same result each time!?
DXM, are you sure you aren't hitting forward slash?
Nope. It's definitely the apostrophe key, right there to the left of [Enter]. It hasn't happened often, but it's always the same key.
firefox did that for me for awhile. When I upgraded to a new version, it stopped.
That's possible, because I run 1.5x at home and 2.0x at work. Except if I remember right, I've had the problem at work.
I've been noticing the boards been a bit slower the last couple of days, both for posting and for accessing threads. It could be my internet at work, but if anyone else has been noticing the same thing, I thought I'd mention.
I've noticed it, too. A real lag time between hitting "post" and it actually ... posting.
I just noticed tommyrot said something about it yesterday in natter, so that would seem to be three of us.
ETA and a bunch of people in the Firefly thread commented during W&P last night.
Oh, me too. I thought it was just my computer, though.
