River: I know you have questions. Mal: That would be why I just asked them.

Erm, so, now that I can access my dcistas subscription personally, how do I do it administratively? That is to say, teh administrative password, because I got an email about something wanting a mail to go through, and while it looks like spam, it says I'ma keep getting the email about the email (and i realize I am fairly failing to make sense, but it's been a very long day and I"m a little insane)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

You should be able to log in as list administrator with the same password you got last week. It may take a couple of tries, since the administrative interface doesn't ask for your username (which is dumb), so it has no idea what password is coming. It seems like it looks for the last password used the first time you enter the password, and only considers other potential administrative passwords when the first attempt fails. At least that's been my experience with it.

Huh. Weird, but interesting. Will do!

Nope, tried several times, keep getting "authentication failed"

Figured it out. Am a dolt. Insent.

Er...never got an insent? Just a "dx has subscribed"/"dx has unsubscribed" email? I just tried again, my password still not with the working.

Huh. I sent it again. It's coming from me, not from the list, so the return address will be different.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Don't know if there are any undercover long-time Buffistas out there, but I thought this might be of interest: Apparently the WorldCrossing archives got a big boost in googlejuice recently -- if you google my name (yes, I found this through a vanity Google -- quit snickering) you'll see a link entitled "MindsOnline" which points to a post in the Buffista Attic on WorldCrossing.

I doubt very much there's anything we can do about it, but it was certainly a surprise to me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's probably my fault. Firefox isn't complaining, so I hadn't noticed.

I'll go fix it.
