Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I've been wondering, does the to-do list need to be updated? I don't think it really reflects what's going on with the board.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I have a Pentium 4 with 1M L1 cache, 1 GB of RAM, a 160GB SATA2 drive, and 100MB/s ethernet. I get 1.3 TB of bandwidth of month, as well. The hardware is from Cari.net and I pay $80 a month for it.

OK, someone remind me how I work this--I just got an email saying that Sparky subscribed to the dcistas list--but I'm not even sure I'm ON the dcistas list (I don't think I got the email she'd sent to the list about the brunch she was having), much less how to be the administrator. Help?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

You need to go here: [link] then scroll down to the bottom and click on "Dcistas administrative interface". That'll take you to the adminstrative logon, where you enter your password. Unfortunately, I don't know what the password is.

Hah! Found the admins password. I can log in and send you your password if you need it. Let me know.

Please do, DX--mearagirl, at yahoo. I went there and tried my usual passwords, but they didn't work. Doh!

Okay, you should have mail.

I got a bunch of subscription notices, but I still don't know a password? I even checked my junk mail folder...

Did you get a "Welcome to the "Dcistas" mailing list" e-mail? You weren't subscribed when I checked this morning (which is why you weren't getting any of the list messages), so I subscribed you. The password should be in that message.

No, I didn't! How odd. I've gotten several "so and so @ this and that.com has subscribed to dcistas" emails (including you, subing and unsubing), and I got one email that was sent to the list, but no "Welcome, here's your password" one!
