It was pretty much a lot of "I freaked reading about my nanny's life because it made me worry that I might pause to think about my own life choices and that scares me. Also I'm maybe not as cool as her." I mean, there were a few things that weren't on that level, but really I think that was the heart of the problem.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

The wife is all "Oh my god! My nanny has a life! My nanny has opinions of me! My nanny is talking about me all the time on the web!"
To which I'd reply "Calm down. Yes. Yes. No, not really." What was there for her to be bothered by other than one citation that the nanny was having a bad workweek? Where the hell did the rest of the drama come from? The wife's head, as far as I can tell.

Woodward and Bernstien are on The Daily Show. Carl is the smarter of the two. Bob always sounds stoned.
I can't believe that in almost 100 posts on reading in dreams, nobody mentioned that episode of Batman (TAS) where he figures out it's a dream by opening a book.
(Ironically, I was unable to post this during the actual conversation because I was watching JLU.)
