I don't particularly get the whole "black" voice thing anyway. There are too many singers of different races who have what might be traditionally thought of as "black voices" (Mariah is one, Taylor Dayne, Anastacia, Teena Marie, The Righteous Brothers, etc.) for that to hold much water with me. I just seem to recall that during the Astley popularity phase there was a lot of "He's a skinny white boy, but he sounds black!" going on.
I think Astley is too dorky looking to be a metrosexual. The ears, the goofy dance. . .
Spandau Ballet -- now they were some metrosexuals.
Spandau Ballet
Whatever happened to them? IIRC, they were in one movie and got good reviews, but I don't remember anything past that.
I think the Kemp brothers are still acting. I saw Martin Kemp as a thug in some British thing not so long ago.
Is metro- the right prefix for them? I know at least one of the Kemps has come out, and my overall impression of the band was that the groupies' parentss had nothing to fear concerning their daughters.
Martin Kemp was in Eastenders for a few years. No idea what he's up to now. They're probably getting back together to tour, like every other 80's band with at least one surviving member. Not that I'm complaining.
I was about to say that I ALWAYS thought Rick Astley was black until this very minute. I even had a very detailed picture of him in my head.
Then I realized I was mixing him up with Rick James.
hee, Sophia!
Hey, how's your new job not working for the CRAXY?
Damn it. The only news source I have is the SF Chronicle, which is slashdotted. Something blew up at Kearny and Post.

The incident happened on Post and Kearny in front of the Ralph Lauren clothing store near the Crocker Galleria shopping center, the dispatcher said. ...
There are a lot of good things about my office.
Tragically, the coffee is not one of them.
