Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I was about to say that I ALWAYS thought Rick Astley was black until this very minute. I even had a very detailed picture of him in my head.

Then I realized I was mixing him up with Rick James.

Damn it. The only news source I have is the SF Chronicle, which is slashdotted. Something blew up at Kearny and Post.

There are a lot of good things about my office.

Tragically, the coffee is not one of them.

Explosion Injures Woman in San Francisco

By PAUL ELIAS The Associated Press Friday, August 19, 2005; 1:30 PM

SAN FRANCISCO -- An explosion injured a woman and set a clothing store on fire Friday in the downtown shopping district.

Firefighters and police evacuated several blocks around the store in the Crocker Galleria area, said fire spokesman Peter Howes.

A witness told KCBS radio that a woman was engulfed in flames from the blast which shattered the Ralph Lauren store's windows just before 10 a.m. Another witness said the blast seemed to have originated under the sidewalk.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am now cracking myself up imagining "I'm Rick Astley, bitch!" as the new catch-phrase sweeping the nation.

The Astley song going round and round in my head is "Never gonna give you up" and I've never thought of it as Negrified.

Me too. And me neither. But then I feel like I'm almost never surprised at the race of a singer. Oh, except Pink with her first song.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Holy shit. I hope the SF woman & everything else is okay.

Mine too. I'm seriously considering getting another Melitta drip cone and using that here. The coffee is awful.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm seldom surprised at the race of a singer, on account of not giving it much thought, but man, I was shocked when I first heard Alison Moyet's solo stuff and realized it was a woman singing.

Totally thought it was a guy until they said who it was.
