I never knew anything about trimming eyelashes until I saw my husband do it. Totally freaked me out. It would never occur to me to cut my lashes, even though they bump up against my glasses all the time (although I am talking about sunglasses, so not such a big deal).

I was feeling oddly uninspired this morning until I read about the Amsterjam funkfest hosted by the inimitable Bootsy Collins. My favorite quote, "You have to bring some funk to get some funk. You just can't walk in a place and expect to get some funk. If you ain't bringing no funk, then you can't get no funk." Words to live by, my friends.

I feel the need for some star shaped glasses.

Bootsy? Player of the Year was one of my favorite albums as a kid. I remember it had some punch out, cardboard star shaped glasses in the cover. Good times.
