I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, I was sure that that was the something horrible that happens when you're happy, even if it's chemically induced, and he'd be in a coma. That show keeps surprising me.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Oh, I was sure that that was the

Yes, and instead it validated how he was feeling.

I also loved how Tommy just casually told his pal "Oh yeah, it was the goofballs." It's doubly funny because I can't hear "goofballs" with thinking of Chief Wiggum talking about Flanders on THE SIMPSONS.

Art Crawl!!!

Omigod! Yes, Rescue me was hilarious this week. How long can this last?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

However, the Jerk-O-Meter also could be set up to test the voice on the other end of the line. Then it could send the tester such reports as: "This person is acting like a jerk. Do you want to hang up?"

The telemarketers better plan to add a "Quick—hang up! This person is formulating a plan to kill you even as you speak!" option if they want to properly reflect the experience of waking me up on a Saturday with a phone service offer.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think it's always pretty fucking funny, but not having seen Tuesday's yet, I still agree it's totally hitting its stride. If I get obsessed with it, will that be "Rescue Me likes carrots, asshole!"?

Yes, but only because something with the word "fuck" in it (fuckwad, fuckstick, etc.) is about the only language that FX ISN'T letting them get away with.

Signed,

Still just about does a noser every time I think of the "twunt" discussion.

Yeah, about that. I was watching something on... TNT, FX?... the other night. I can't remember the name of the show, though it wasn't Rescue Me, because I'd remember Dennis Leary. A gritty "we fight crime" thing. Anyway, I swear I heard "shit" a couple of times. Is this new? Used to only hear that on the pay cable stations, right? Or have I just been out of touch?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

"Shit" is still mostly off-limits, but not on all shows. The Shield, on FX, has a lot of cursing (it's rated TV-M for that reason).

Funniest thing evar: watchign a VH-1 retrospective on South Part, where they discuss the episode about saying "shit", but neither the animated characters nor the VH-1 talking heads are allowed to say the word. It was a whole discussion about bleep.

OK. I'd have thought I misheard, but then it happened again. Now it's bugging me that I can't remember the show. It was very blue. It's new. I think I have to go try to figure it out now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

As far as I can tell, you can say almost anything except "fuck" on FX.
