Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Don't mangle the Aussie!

Maul him, sure. But don't mangle.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Maul him, sure. But don't mangle.

I note you left out 'fold, spindle or mutilate'.

move out and draw fire

And my parents are divorced...should there be two versions, or what?

I would COMM this, because it's brilliant, but I'm not sure you'd want it showing up in the BRQG years from now.

Yay for Madrigal and Rushcutter's Bay!

Gus, you could head over to Literary and tell me if the Honor Harrington books are real Sci-Fi or just Mary Sue in Space.

I miss humans.

God, me too. But being in solitary confinement for the last 6 months of pregnancy makes now seem like a mosh pit of companionship.

I don't remember the MTM hug, so I'll join the fray with the tacklhug. No mangling though.

Seriously, Gus, you are the only reason that I got online tonight, although not the only one I stayed. I hope it helps to see all the people who care. I hope it's just lonliness, although I understand that lonliness is not a word that goes with just. Been there. It sucks. But you can get through it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I promise not to spindle you, for lo, it sounds painful.

Weirdly, while I miss the humans, I also miss alone time.

Which I could have in a casual work environment, which is like a gerbil cage in a lot of ways, with the humans being the self-waterer.

I am, at the moment, having a few minutes of alone time before I start to feel guilty and go hang with the rest of the household.

Alone time without lonliness is good. A couple of years ago I spent a week with no alone time except in the bathroom and I just about lost my mind. Of course, the family members I was with might have had something to do with it.

I figured you might be bendy.

Should I be eyeing you suspiciously next time I see you?

Only if I suddenly start mentioning my sudden keen to learn origami.
