You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ugh. I'm having that late night surf the web and explore the possibilities. Someone tell me I really don't want to go to art school and make clothes no matter how many doodles and sketches I have in my knitting journal.

It's a remora, dimwit.

I don't know about COMM samples, Billy - we're trying to come off as boring as possible. Like, we never make any noise, clean constantly and when we knit, we don't even use bright colored yarn.

It's a lovely 22C day today....but I've incredibly tense because Almanzo is to hear back from the agent about whether we're approved or not.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You misspelled "send the rest to Lee."

If only you'd corrected me before the snarf fest.

One thing I have not done enough of this weekend is sleep. I'm going to try correct that a little.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

If only you'd corrected me before the snarf fest.

You should make me a new batch.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Nobody talked me out of it! Now I've got it in my head that if I don't get the non-profit job (screw the other two, they're not really what I want). I'mma go up to the store and tell the GM that I'll take more hours, but I'm going to art school and I want to be trained on the take in side. That way I can get hands on experience with the big designers while I'm in school and make money. Perhaps I'll take on some of the merchandising in exchange. Then, when I actually start making things I'll wear them to the bar where the people with money can see them, want them, and I'll make stuff for them. Everyone will anticipate my graduation and subsequent boutique opening which will be like an open secret amongst the hipsters until it's featured in Lucky, and I get swamped. From there I will design for a house until I retire from the label, create another boutique label and move to my ideal city.

THE END

PS- My clothes will also fit actual women. All sizes of 'em. From my 12-year-old-boy-framed friend Mel to my sumptuously curvy friend Linz. In fact I'll section it off by their names for each of the body types. Muscley, and need something that moves and gives? The Natalia section is right over there. Bigger than a size 8, but like to feel a little sexy, Cyn is on your left ma'am.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The knitting's a big one. Aussie landlords are picky about that. There've been too many incidents, y'know?

move out and draw fire

The power shot that gave me chills? Three giraffes advancing on an acacia tree.

I started singing "It's Good to be a Gangsta" during this shot.

Robert's in charge of all the USG assistance for the crash investigation, which is considerable. Because it was a Boeing plane, there's the potential that Boeing could be blamed - which may be the case, but if it's something that Cypriot Air is doing maintenance-wise or something else, we need to know so we can prevent future accidents. And today is a huge holiday here, second only to Easter. It's like if the worst aviaton disaster in US history happened on Christmas Eve. No one is in Athens or in work mode. Including the phone company.

I'm selfishly glad I'm not working at the embassy for this crash. I had enough of crash sites when we were in Romania.

Huh...it occurs to me that whenever we're in the Balkans for about a year, a horrible plane crash happens. Maybe God's trying to kill us by dropping a plane on our heads. If so, his aim's getting better - last one was off by about 25 miles; this one was only 15 miles away.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Perkins, Perkins, Perkins...

Subscribe to the website, and you can get the recipe EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE MISPLACED YOUR CI!!!

Not, err, that we took advantage of that on Thursday night or anything...

I'm making them again Wednesday, for consumption on this Thursday (Paul's grandmother's 80th Bday party). I'm torn what buttercream to make. I grow weary of orange.

I am taking buttercream suggestions.
