You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I don't know about COMM samples, Billy - we're trying to come off as boring as possible. Like, we never make any noise, clean constantly and when we knit, we don't even use bright colored yarn.

The knitting's a big one. Aussie landlords are picky about that. There've been too many incidents, y'know?

move out and draw fire

The power shot that gave me chills? Three giraffes advancing on an acacia tree.

I started singing "It's Good to be a Gangsta" during this shot.

Robert's in charge of all the USG assistance for the crash investigation, which is considerable. Because it was a Boeing plane, there's the potential that Boeing could be blamed - which may be the case, but if it's something that Cypriot Air is doing maintenance-wise or something else, we need to know so we can prevent future accidents. And today is a huge holiday here, second only to Easter. It's like if the worst aviaton disaster in US history happened on Christmas Eve. No one is in Athens or in work mode. Including the phone company.

I'm selfishly glad I'm not working at the embassy for this crash. I had enough of crash sites when we were in Romania.

Huh...it occurs to me that whenever we're in the Balkans for about a year, a horrible plane crash happens. Maybe God's trying to kill us by dropping a plane on our heads. If so, his aim's getting better - last one was off by about 25 miles; this one was only 15 miles away.

Not, err, that we took advantage of that on Thursday night or anything...

I'm making them again Wednesday, for consumption on this Thursday (Paul's grandmother's 80th Bday party). I'm torn what buttercream to make. I grow weary of orange.

I am taking buttercream suggestions.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Almond. Or amaretto, something like that. Or! Mr. H makes this thing at the bar called a nuts 'n' berries. It's Frangelica, chambourd and cream. So amaretto and raspberry. It that possible for buttercream?

Probably difficult. I was thinking raspberry, but realized the berry part would add unwanted texture.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Can you use the alcoholic versions of the flavorings or would that make it far too sweet?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Boy, am I now regretting my decision to have soup for both meals today. Particularly dinner, which was an unfilling not very good bouillabase that cost way too much. Alas, my former go-to late Sunday night restaurant has switched to Irish food, and so suffering gnawing hunger pangs is the better choice.
