Natter 37: Oddly Enough, We've Had This Conversation Before.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I stopped before I got to Seige, as I won't be getting tape of the premieres until my brother sends it to me (see above re: new apt), and, while I am not particularly tired, I don't think I can follow terribly well.
Cringing at some of Rodney's tape in Letters from Pegasus deistracted me for a good long while, though.
Last Friday, one of my bosses and I had a discussion on how fucking close the world came to global nuclear war during the Cuban missle crisis. Freaked me out a little....
I do not know how this is a political discussion. If it was, it is my fault and I was just plain wrong.
Except about the first season Atlantis thing, that is, and actors playing Russians as robots.
I think Battlestar Galactica is really good, but nothing can kill my SG1 love other than SG1 itself.
I was just joshing.
AmericQuest is being sponsored by the Rolling Stones.
There was no irony in that post.
Really.

It took me a while to get hooked by either Stargate, but once it took, I was well and truly hooked.
Also, I was totally joking about the Russians. That it sparked people talking, though, it a good.
My feelings on Stargate (both the original flavor and the Aquarium) are this: I suspect it is only merely mediocre and people are starved for Science Fiction on TV and now everybody is going to scamper toward Battlestar Galactica.
What, we can only like good shows? I'll be honest, BSG's pretty dark for my taste. I like SG1.
What, we can only like good shows?
I gave up on Six Feet Under. It was just plain depressing. This probably delimits my appetite for "dark", because it worked for me up to this season.
eta: That was in sequence. Really. It was.
