Willow: Were there dolphins? Tara: Yes. Many dolphins at the pound. Willow: Was there a camel? Tara: There was the front of a camel. A half-camel.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

If only, Plei, if only.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, juliana!

I have no interest in Harry Potter.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

have you read the book yet, David?

No, but I spoiled myself by reading the LJ read-and-posts. I haven't read the last several books anyway, so it was a fun way to ride in the wake of the Event of it.

Seeing Red, HBP...

Don't try to map it too directly. I don't know if it even has an obvious flashpoint like Seeing Red. It's more to do with fannish expectations where people start to make up a story in their head that winds up being very different from what the creators are trying to tell.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I went ahead and spoiled myself, and can see how an indirect mapping works.

To be honest, I, umm, still haven't finished GoF, because I keep falling asleep whenever I try to read it. So I'm still two books behind.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I got spoiled by a spammish posting on an unrelated lj community. Of course, I didn't read the prior book because it was too heavy, so I wasn't overly worked-up, but I can see being PISSED.

Thrive to spite them

Some people seem to be under the impression that you put the spoiler IN the warning.

So they do stuff like "Spoiler!! Joyce dies!!!"

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yup. I gave up after GoF, but I do like watching the fandom reaction.

Gronk. It cooled down just a bit here, and my mother and I are watching Eddie Izzard. Earlier, I had dinner with a bunch of lovely people at my favorite Japanese restaurant. Yum.

Did we know that Sandra Bullock apparently married Jesse James?

Oh, and in mother news, mine said I have a bunion! I was like, Oh no you didn't! But I guess I do. It doesn't hurt or anything, but still -- weird. Aren't bunions for sketchy old ladies??

Oh, Paul=Plei's DH. I think I even knew that; I was too quick in my skimming.

I'm just startng HP6 now. My problem is that I've forgotten most of what's happened up to this point. But I'm sure I'll manage.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

HP6: All hail Rowlings, the last of the wealthy print writers.
