"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I guess they frown on instructors resorting to the use of metal folding chairs under such circumstances?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Did ita just pull the old "and then it all turned out NOT to be a dream" ending?

Give me a cliché and I'll turn it on its head! Or just get it wrong...

Especially against other instructors. Wait, no, that's me frowning. They'd probably laugh quite heartily.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well don't dreams usually have a deeper meaning that can be applied to one's real life?
I generally wake up and pray that this isn't true. But then my dreams are consistently bizarre. I enjoy them but I worry about myself when I try to find the deeper meanings.

I had that dream, except it wasn't a dream

Did it start to miraculously snow?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am on hold. Don't want to be, though the fact that I am on hold with Duke's Malibu to discuss b-day plans does help a little.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Did any other Penzeys regulars get a sample copy of their new magazine today? If so, do you like it?

I'm very much on the fence. It's got a lot of heart, but it seems to have the same goal as Cook's Illustrated, only with an amateur layout team and no test kitchen.

How does that work? Or...does it? My favourite bit of CI is knowing they tried this fifty times before they settled on the right answer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Man. I'm watching the World News Tonight tribute to Peter Jennings, and it's so sad! And awesome.

Oh. My. God.

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Two of the 12 jurors who voted to acquit singer Michael Jackson of child molestation and other charges said Monday they regret their decisions.
Jurors Ray Hultman and Eleanor Cook, who both have pending book deals, planned to appear Monday night on the MSNBC show "Rita Cosby: Live and Direct."
In a preview shown Monday on NBC's "Today," Cosby asked Cook if the other jurors will be angry with her.
"They can be as angry as they want to. They ought to be ashamed. They're the ones that let a pedophile go," responded Cook, 79.
They? They! They? They! "They" let him go? She did too!

Oh, I should likely add the [link] for those who want to read more.

Mine too, and I think that's why this magazine doesn't work, quite. It's similar to CI in that they've both got very personal, homey editorial styles, but One is big and glossy and the recipes don't look as good.

Honestly, if it weren't from Penzeys, I don't think I'd even have read the whole thing. I want it to be good because it's from a food company I like and respect.
