"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Who do I have to kill to get one of those here?

Got any sacrificial virgins handy?

Happy Birthday Juliana!

Happy Belated Birthday to Ouise, jengod and Paul! (I don't think I've ever posted with Paul.)

Er, actually, that's all I got. We got thunderstorms last night, but they were not cooling. At. All.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm seeing a lot of HP fandom flipping out in sort of the same way Buffy fandom did in the later seasons. "That's not the character I built up in my head for umpteen months! I didn't get what I WANT! WAHHHH! Fanfic is better than canon!"

And that's even with most people really liking the book. But still. It's curious to see the dynamic assert itself again and think, "What is this reminding me of? Oh yeah...Seeing Red."

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

have you read the book yet, David?

ha I am the meanest today. DH has finished the book - yet can't talk to me about it yet. DS just called - she just finished it. and I haven't even opened it yet. Ha. They are all suffering because I haven't read it yet.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Yes! I guess there's just something about 7-part YA fantasy epics.

erika, not a puppy (& hope your mom is fine) but have you seen www.baltimorecrime.blogspot.com?

Just ran across a mention of it in a local free paper.

Cat seems better.

Queen of the Drive-By

Hi. Has anyone finished The Half Blood Prince yet? I just finished and I HAVE to talk about it with someone. I'm cursing the fact that I read so damned fast, I don't know anyone who's finished. Please? Anyone?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
