Sometimes I miss having powers... Oh. Oh! I know what this is! This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and--and have drugs!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Robin! Happy Birthday!

This is like the fifth reference to that movie I've heard in two days (it's even in Friday's Times), so I must ask.

And I shall answer! Once I'm back from my date.

Our wings are not tired.

English wouldn't hurt either.

At the place I went to today in the mall the girls were all chatting to each other in Korean. It was rude IMO. My SIL is buying a nail salon that she has worked at for 7 years. The deal should be done within the next couple months. I will happily drive to Fort Lauderdale when Becky owns the place. GF agrees it will be worth the drive too. The place does facials too. Whee!

Up with the sun

Happy birthday, Robin!

The first evil kitten was OMGDEDFROMCUTE. It made me want a kitten, and we aren't exactly a cat-deprived household.

I just read 1000 posts and all I have to say is that I can't believe I'm number 30, and I'm not sure if I feel like I post a lot more or a lot less.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

From way back: Kate, my condolences.

I got word this week that my father is on his last legs. Ironically, he's about the same age as Kate's grand.

I also had a wonderful surprise waiting for me this morning, someone broke the back window of my car. They didn't break it in, just shattered it. I called the police, my insurance company and one of those mobile glass repair places. Now I'm seriously thinking of moving. I've had my license plates stolen twice and someone dented my right rear quarter panel. grrrrr.

Not in the best mood today.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

so. hot.

The fog's in over my neighborhood. If you want to come over, I'll fix you a vodka tonic and you can smoke out on the back porch while we wait for the pizza to arrive.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

so sorry quester.

It is hot here too. It would help if I could open the front door -but there is way too much sawing going on in the driveway.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hot here today, but I made a fabulous discovery. You know how you get in the habit of going certain directions down certain streets? When I take the dog to the park we always go south. Today, because we were already going that way to drop my sister off at the bus stop, we ended up taking the path north. And it turns out, about three blocks distance north, there is a dog beach! There isn't even a people beach in walking distance. So Lucy got to romp and swim with a bunch of other dogs, and I got to wade in the water. It's in the harbor, not the lake, so the water is nice and cool but not bone-chilling like the lake is. I can't believe I didn't know about this.

Of course, then I had Disgusto the Sand Monster roaming the apartment, but I think it's worth it. We may have to go back tomorrow.
