I think you've misplaced my high school.
Which one?
I dunno. I kind of half have it in my head, something about tomorrow being brighter for you and for me? And get up get up get up?
I'm under some delusion it would have been "I Want Your Sex." It's a happy place, up here in my head.
Yeah, that sounds likely.
"Plucked his eyebrows then he was a she."
I think that was "Plucked his eyebrows on the way/Shaved his legs and then he was a she". Now I can't remember who thought s/he was James Dean for a day.
It really is amazing what they'll play on the radio.
Yeah, that sounds likely.
More likely than "Sexy Motherfucker" I'm sure.

"Don't you hear the music pumping hard like I wish you would? Now push it. Push it good."
Yeah, that sounds likely.
Maybe "Come On Eileen"?
Now I can't remember who thought s/he was James Dean for a day.
Same character, I think. "Holly came from Miami, F. L. A./Thought s/he (?) was James Dean for a day/Plucked etc...." is how it goes, I'm pretty sure.

I was joking with a friend once that that song is about a woman who's about to give birth, except her husband got the car stuck in a ditch - he has to push it out so she can go deliver her baby baby ooh baby baby....
Cindy's a Melanie fan, eh?
Brand New Key is the only song that I know I know by her. I've googled. It looks like she did a version of Look What They've Done to My Song, Ma, and I might know her version, or I might not. It looks like she's also recorded A.A. Milne's poem, Vespers, although as a song title, she uses Christopher Robin, instead. I might have to get that. Vespers might be one of my all time favorite poems. I used to recite it, and substitute in "Benjamin [our last name]" when Ben was a baby.

I thought that went "Holly cam from Miam F-L-A/ HItchiked her way across the U-S-A" etc. Hence the confusion.
I could look it up. But it's more fun to try to remember the other verses and see if it fits anywhere.
