I haven't read any HP. Probably won't, either. Consign me to whatever.
msbelle, I admit an odd fondness to O.W. Not sure why, as he's not my type AT ALL. So disown me, whatever. It's the doofy happy thing, I think. And making me laugh at that stupid asteroid movie. Weakness for geologists.
I'm in a whatever mood.
Except... I'm REALLY going to miss my officemate next month. FUCK. Tearworthy, even. So would finding a nice leather laptop case and monogramming it be amiss?
Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear. Are misspellings considered spoilers?
For shame, Arthur A. Levine Books!
Okay. Done. I take it back. The last 200 pages make this not a placeholder story. The last
50 are heartbreaking.
Go Rowling.
Emily you mean
site instead of sight?
Summerland is good, Anne. Chabon tells a great story. So rich.
Huh.
Kat, yes. But if that's the only one, we'll call it a rare aberration and leave it at that.
Mine did come USPS. (I misread the tracking earlier -- it arrived in DeKalb at 5:18 yesterday morning.)
It was the only mail that I received too.
I'm sorry msbelle! I made you sick!! This is why I am not the Queen of Nice like you. :(
It occurs to me that re-reading #5 might be good, really, since I don't remember any of it either. Hmm. But all that whining. I suppose I could skim. I don't really want to BUY it just to skim, though...decisions, decisions!
Yeah, I had totally
planned
to re-read the series prior to the publication of book 6, but then it got to be last weekend and I realized that I had not done it.
I think that after I finish 6, I'm going to go back through 5.
Nothing happened in six, except ... no, nothing.
I found more than a few typos and it really threw me off. Being dyslexic, I've got a hard enough time having to reread things my miswired brain scrambles. Actual typos are a bane. ("Did I read that wrong? No? Wait. Does it really say?" Argh.)
I'm with Tara on the whole people's spelling is so bad on the internets (icluding mine) but in publishing? There should be higher standards!
