I think Hec is right about SM2. When I saw it I'd only read one comic in fifteen years, though, and it's Gotham Central(police procedural + Batman= Best Thing Ever) so maybe that colored my impressions. I haven't seen anything to beat it yet, though I tend to count X2as a film about the disability experience. With more fighting.

Hey!
I'm fond of the people who do the work of NASA, but nsm HQ, which is a political bureaucracy. It does its best to make me a bitter, bitter woman.
One states that he doesn't know where his vision will take us, and uses general terms like "cosmos."
I hadn't thought of it like that, but that's totally the problem with the War On Terror -- I'm sorry, I mean the Global Struggle Against Extremism.
Global Struggle Against (Violent) Extremism
And what kind of crappy acronym is this anyway? They should've gone with the Global Rumble Against Violent Extremism.
No one ever asks me.
Man, I wish we had a rumble. That would be so hot.
Global Struggle Against Evildoers Who Inhibit the March of Freedom.
Well, officemate laughed and laughed at the chair and margarita foo.
Aaaaand he just got the call.
Dance-off in the Desert
And what kind of crappy acronym is this anyway?
Global SA(V)E vs. Global WoT. See, they are going to SAVE the world from terror....errr...extremism, comma, violent. How? By blowing the shit out of it, naturally.
Anyway, timelies. Had an apalling weekend. Took Friday and Monday off, so I could run a bunch of errands Friday, and head up to Maine Sat-Mon. I got the errands done (just), but unfortunately, I woke up Saturday feeling crappy, plus the friend I was hoping would be up in Maine couldn't go, so I bailed on that. Decided I'd meet said friend for brunch on Sunday. Unfortunately, I woke up Sunday feeling even worse (after sleeping something like 10 hours - at least 2-4 too much for me) so even that didn't happen. I got next to no sleep last night, so I took the day anyway, even though I probably should have just gone into work. And of course, now it's not even a nice day out, even though I'm feeling better, if tired.
Oh well, I got the new Harry Potter finished, at least. I've had less productive 4 day weekends, sadly.
