psst. Cindy's traveled back in time.
Natter 37: Oddly Enough, We've Had This Conversation Before.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Nope, it's Wednesday--I've got a hair appointment.
Wow. That's quite the gift.
Also, don't tell Topic!Cindy anything that's happened today, because it's the future for her, and we don't want her messing up the timeline.
Although if she asks nice maybe we could give her the winning lottery number or something....
I heard this morning that the wake up song for the shuttle was "I Got You Babe", which of course made me think of Groundhog Day. Is Cindy on the shuttle?

Oh god. I would have lept into the cargo bay without a spacesuit. They've got them as captives in a bubble far from home and they torture them?
Slash is still a niche market, and would be unprofitable, and it just SEEMS like most fanfic is slash. Which I suppose says something about my fanfic reading habits. Alternatively, everyone from romance writers to comic book writers to porn directors has been missing out on market share.
It's really not mostly slash. Even in the slashiest fandoms, like SG: Atlantis or Smallville, I think that less than half of the total stories are slash. Gen and het stories are a huge element of the fandom.
I agree that the romance market is missing out, though. Suzanne Brockman's latest (or one of the latest) has a gay romance as the B plot, and I'd like to find out how that one did, compared to her other ones.

My thought was that now, if anything goes wrong, they can just relive the day over and over agin until they get it right.
(eta: this is probably why it's a good thing I'm not in charge of, well, anything)

Oh, pretty please with sarameg's cherries on top. If found worthy, I will give 50% to worthy charities, take 10% for myself, and donate the remaining 40% to the Buffista Permanent F2F Scholarship Fund.

The other day, I dreamt that I was singing "I've Got You, Babe" to my kids. Fifteen minutes after I woke up, I was in the kitchen with them, and it came on the radio.
Fear my prophetic gift.
Sorry, Cindy. I wouldn't dream of spoiling you for Wednesday.
