wait, sara, you watched a movie?

My day, by msbelle

wake up 4:15
cab pick-up 5:30
deal with incompitent people who by being unhelpful make you walk at least a half mile in a rush in heels (before 6:30)
be crowded & cold
get slightly lost resulting in another half mile of unnecessary walking heels, carrying heavy bag
have fairly contentious meeting with clients and try to push and not be defensive
sit and contemplate nap.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jilli, you're a charm-monster. No need to freak out.

From defamer:

Charlie stayed on top, but we're quite disappointed that headline writers failed to embrace the lascivious promise of last Monday's “Depp’s ‘Chocolate Factory’ has tasty opening.” The best we could turn up with a very (read: very) cursory search was, "Willy Wonka still holds sweet spot," which admittedly requires a very liberal interpretation of "sweet spot" to titillate. We never should've allowed ourselves to lose an entire weekend hoping that the wire services would deliver a treat like "Moviegoers Lose Car Keys In Wonka's Fudge Tunnel."

What I will never get used to are the fact that a) a rainstorm doesn't reliably cool things off and b) it can stay over 80 and muggy overnight. My desert brain just can't get over that. This weekend, when the humidity ran away, it got to the midsixties overnight. That seemed reasonable. But now? 80. 80! Dark means it should cool off significantly, damnit! It should be comfortable.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, msbelle, that sounds like a great day. Or the other thing.

msbelle, it was on PBS. You can recover from your faint now.

Sorry the day was so ooky. And started so damned early. Where'd you have to go where there was cold?

You can come visit me and wallow in humidity.

Oooh! Thunder! Or someone knocking something over. Can't tell.

I can slice some of the humidity out of our air with a knife and send it to you, if you'd like?
