I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

What I will never get used to are the fact that a) a rainstorm doesn't reliably cool things off and b) it can stay over 80 and muggy overnight. My desert brain just can't get over that. This weekend, when the humidity ran away, it got to the midsixties overnight. That seemed reasonable. But now? 80. 80! Dark means it should cool off significantly, damnit! It should be comfortable.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, msbelle, that sounds like a great day. Or the other thing.

msbelle, it was on PBS. You can recover from your faint now.

Sorry the day was so ooky. And started so damned early. Where'd you have to go where there was cold?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm sad to have missed humid LA.

You can come visit me and wallow in humidity.

Oooh! Thunder! Or someone knocking something over. Can't tell.

I can slice some of the humidity out of our air with a knife and send it to you, if you'd like?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

My gelato was so delicious too. Betsy will back me upon the superiority of Ciao Bella to all other pretenders.

Is Ciao Bella in the Ferry Building? I've had their gelato, when I was there for Nillyfest.

SA came up to visit yesterday, and we were both lamenting how it's been too long since we've been to San Francisco, and we're going to try to make a trip out there this fall. I hope.

Go team ass! Also, sitting!

There was a brilliant thunderstorm on the flight from Mpls to LA. I've never watched that much lightning from that high up before. In fact, I will be disappointed if neither Red Eye nor Flightplan involve a shot out through a window of a dramatic storm, with someone's face reflected in the glass.
