"Of course I'm cute. How could I not be cute?"
Hee!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yeah, but he did attend meetings. So the right wing argument now will be that he was on the steering committee, and attended many meetings - but he wasn't really involved.
This usually means that someone has posted a quiz response (one of those ones where you c&p a shitload of html into your post). Some of them have a tendency to lock your friends page like that until whoever posted the meme places it behind a cut tag.
Weirdness. The third post down did have a quiz in it, but behind a cut tag. I opened that post (but didn't click on the quiz link or anything), clicked the back button, refreshed, and...meara's post and the one immediately before it are still stuck at the top of the page (but not the one with the quiz). Below that, the friends view is current and normal, even including the sidebar material which had disappeared from the stuck page.
Anyway, the point is, it's not like Bush wasn't going to pick a conservative.
Then my daughter replied, "Of course I'm cute. How could I not be cute?"
I think I'm going to have to start using this line.
Happy Birthday, vw!
How long ago was Roberts a member of the Federalist Society? I know I've participated in things in the past that no longer remotely reflect my views, either because I've changed or the organization has.
Yeah, except it looks like he never actually joined. It sounds more like they used him as a networking contact, and bestowed a steering committee position title upon him in their directory.

Susan, if he was in law school at the time, it would have been before he clerked for Rehnquist and before he left a high-powered law firm to work for Ken Starr.
I don't know if the Federalists Society thing is all that relevent, but it is funny that this yes he is, no he's not, yes he is thing is going on.

Or a mime, for that matter.
