Is that the automatic? In the SL2 we noticed a big difference between the automatic and manual when it came to pick up.
We had an SL once with a stick and it wasn't too bad. But I've driven the automatics and they are really sluggish. I don't think the engines have enough torque to pair up with an automatic.
If you want hauling capacity and fuel economy, maybe a TurboDiesel Jetta Wagon. Or less expensively, a Ford Focus Wagon or Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe.
Happy Birthday, vw!!!
May you celebrate with ugly cake and many presents!
sars, I'm sorry. You probably got part of my after-fast nasty headache (the fast took place yesterday). Which prevents me from posting much, since the whole looking-at-a-computer-screen activity is even more painful than just the being-awake activity.
Off for more water.
[Edit: 2*5=4+6. The world can't be that bad when numbers are being nice to you.]
Is that the automatic?
No, I have the stick. I moved to the SC-1 from a Grand Am, and that may be affecting my perceptions.
Actually Nilly, you may be on to something. Given how freaking little I ate this weekend, especially yesterday, this may be hunger. Hmph. I guess apples and peanut butter aren't enough for dinner.
I think I'll try eating some cherries (which, as I'm wearing a white shirt, will probably not end well.)
Happy b-day, vw!
sara, I think you have a cherry problem.
Hey, I gotta eat them while they are in season!
In general, I have to take a strong stand in support of eating.
In annoying news, I called the bridal shop to bitch about them sending me the wrong dress, and accidentally pointed out that I think I got the maid of honor's dress instead, so now they're making me get in touch with her to see what dress she got. @@
I know, I've yet to have them (well, except for a couple over the 4th of July weekend, which were barely enough to count), which is probably why I'm coveting noticing.
Just to pick on you, I used that nifty search-thread function for the word "cherries" in Natter. It appears in 6 posts. One is Jesse, talking about foods she loves, but to which she has reacted. Another is Cass, quoting back Jesse. The other four are you. We must have an intervention. Send all your cherries to me. I will keep them in a safe place. Really.
Searching on "cherry" is less fruitful (ba dum dah). It brings up me (that last post), Gud (talking about the George Washington tree incident/myth), and erika, but erika's use did not have anything to do with the cherries you are eating. I don't think.
