I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Is that the automatic?

No, I have the stick. I moved to the SC-1 from a Grand Am, and that may be affecting my perceptions.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Happy Birthday, vw!!!!

Actually Nilly, you may be on to something. Given how freaking little I ate this weekend, especially yesterday, this may be hunger. Hmph. I guess apples and peanut butter aren't enough for dinner.

I think I'll try eating some cherries (which, as I'm wearing a white shirt, will probably not end well.)

Happy b-day, vw!

What is even happening?

sara, I think you have a cherry problem.

Hey, I gotta eat them while they are in season!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In general, I have to take a strong stand in support of eating.

In annoying news, I called the bridal shop to bitch about them sending me the wrong dress, and accidentally pointed out that I think I got the maid of honor's dress instead, so now they're making me get in touch with her to see what dress she got. @@

What is even happening?

I know, I've yet to have them (well, except for a couple over the 4th of July weekend, which were barely enough to count), which is probably why I'm coveting noticing.

Just to pick on you, I used that nifty search-thread function for the word "cherries" in Natter. It appears in 6 posts. One is Jesse, talking about foods she loves, but to which she has reacted. Another is Cass, quoting back Jesse. The other four are you. We must have an intervention. Send all your cherries to me. I will keep them in a safe place. Really.

Searching on "cherry" is less fruitful (ba dum dah). It brings up me (that last post), Gud (talking about the George Washington tree incident/myth), and erika, but erika's use did not have anything to do with the cherries you are eating. I don't think.

move out and draw fire

I have to say that the cherries here have been *wonderful.* Now it's getting into fig time.

I may be killing my cat shortly. I'd just gotten the baby down for his nap, and decided I would take one also (since I'd pretty much put myself to sleep while rocking Mal), so I crawled into bed. The cat had other ideas - he wanted to play. Sitting on me and yelling got his butt thrown off the bed, so he marched into the nursery, shouldering the door open, and commenced howling right under the crib until the baby woke up and joined in.

No nap for me.

Here's some somewhat good news: Contrary to reports, John Roberts does not belong to the Federalist Society.

That's THEIR job. Sheesh.

And yes, I will admit to being mildly obsessed with cherries. They're good! And compact! And pretty! Also, and I suspect this may be due to their still being a seasonal, limited crop, usually of uniformly flavorful quality.

Raq, you're going to be in real trouble one that child gets his land legs. I think the cat is going to take full advantage of it.

I had a fig (fresh off the tree) for the first time last year. It was good and rather unexpected.
