Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This link is horrible, and maybe a bad way to start off a Friday....

Article on two teenagers in Iran who were hung for homosexuality: [link]

And Outrage, in its release about the gay teens' execution, noted that, "according to Iranian human rights campaigners, over 4000 lesbians and gay men have been executed since the Ayatollahs seized power in 1979. Last August, a 16-year-old girl , [Atefeh Rajabi] was hanged [in the Caspian port of Neka] for 'acts incompatible with chastity,' [i.e., sex before marriage]."

Going to go throw up now....

I hope I haven't killed natter with such a depressing link....

Here's some somewhat good news: Contrary to reports, John Roberts does not belong to the Federalist Society.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I still don't have a handle on Roberts. I was skeptical when the first information came out, but it turns out almost nothing I heard was about Roberts as a judge. So I don't know what to think of the guy. I'm a little surprised about how some of the far right has been so happy about the choice.

Yeah, I'm a little unsure what to think. I mean, I don't doubt the guy's a hard-line conservative. But that was pretty much a given. Ann Coulter hates him, which makes me feel a little better.

Thrive to spite them

How likely is it that Hillary Clinton will run for President next election?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I got to work this morning to discover that Bossman had brought in bagels. Since I got in late, there were only 2.5 bagels left, and all of them were blueberry.

As I was slathering half a blueberry bagel with cream cheese, I couldn't help saying, "JUST EAT A MUFFIN, WHITEY!"

She won't talk about it, but I think it's fairly likely. Supposedly she's leading in polls of likely Democratic candidates.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I was skeptical when the first information came out, but it turns out almost nothing I heard was about Roberts as a judge.

He clerked for Rehnquist. He left a high-powered law firm to work for Ken Starr.

I don't trust him.

What is even happening?

How likely is it that Hillary Clinton will run for President next election?

I kind of wish she wouldn't. I actually really like her, and I'm not far off from most of her stances on most things. And I loved Bill so much I still think of him as my President, and would enjoy him being the first ever First Gentleman. That said, I wish the Dems would find some new blood.

Fred, was he working for Starr during the Clinton-hunt, or prior to?
