Oh dear Lord, we have a heat index of 110° predicted for today. I'm going to burst into flames. And not in a good way.

And I have a sick fondness for B&R Daquiri Ice.
I used to love this flavour. Then I discovered B&J's cappuchino heath bar crunch and threw over the daquiri ice for it. Mmm. Now I want some, just to see if it's as good as I remember.

So I just realized that I pronounce Raquel with an ah sound, but Raq like rack. What's up with that?
I think it might be because when you say Raquel, you put the stress on the second syllable, so the vowel in the first gets swallowed. When you say Raq there's only one place to put the stress. Do you think you say the "a" in Raquel as a true "ah" or more like a schwa?
I give it the full ah. Like ROCK-el. Kinda.
I think Raq roqs.
