I went to Georgetown in DC, so that's where I first went to Steve's - was it originally a Massachusetts thing?

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
The Steve's we were mentioning was. I don't know if it was the same place. I think the original Steve sold it off. There's a town called Georgetown in MA. When I first saw you mention Georgetown, I figured you meant the DC school, but then I wasn't sure.
Jesse, where was that first Steve's? I went to one, but I think it was in Medford. I suppose it could have been in Somerville. I don't think it was in Cambridge. There's still one at Quincy Market, I think.
Is Coldstone the place that mixes the flavor on a slab of chilled marble? I've been to one of those. And gotten sorbet, because I can't have ice cream. It was ok. I miss B&J's lemon swirl. I'm sure you can get it in shops, but no longer at the grocery store. It was like the tartest homemade lemonade.
I am eating cherries. Good. But I really want Mozambiquan avocados (2x the size of a grapefruit!) and portuguese rolls now. A little sea salt, spoon and I'm in heaven. Half of one of those suckers was a meal.
A/C is struggling. 79. Uhg. I did resort to the unwater friendly fix, which is running the shower ice cold, blowing a fan through it. Bought me 4 degrees.
I need a house. Then if it doesn't have central air, a/c units WHEREVER I WANT THEM. I'd pay $2k or whatever to keep cool in my own place.
I went to Steve's once [eta, in DC]. It was tasty.
Once you go frozen custard, though, ice cream doesn't often live up.
We just got our electric bill, billing date through 7/19. I am sick, sick, sick at it: $171.00.
Of course, that's way cheaper than oil was this winter, and we use electricity for lights, and the stove, and appliances other than the a.c. and fans. Still. Ugh. It's just been ungodly here, though.
The original Steve's was in Davis Square. Apparently Herrell's is still good (Steve Herrell was the founder, who sold off his first name along with Steve's Ice Cream).

Yes.
I stopped at the grocery store for advil on the way home, and they had B&J on sale, so I came out with Chocolate Therapy and Magic Brownies.
If it is any colsolation, that what my bill for a 700sqft top floor apartment sometimes looks near past month. My a/c is HIGHLY inefficient. I've gotten reimbursements, but..uhg. Not with the current management staff. I need to call the headquarters in Jersey.
I am so obsessed with Google Maps! I keep finding my way from place to place.
Ours was probably the same Steve's - I hadn't realized it was a chain. It closed when I was still in school, though. Sad.
ION, I am almost done with HBP now, and it is getting very interesting, so I'm going to go focus.
