Ah libkitty, it's good because it's hand blended with yummy things. The reason I like it is because the mix-ins aren't soggy.

No Cold Stone here, and I seem to always be not in the mood for ice cream when there's one around.
Cold Stone has this flavor of ice cream - "cake batter," I think? that's freakishly good. Also, it has a gum-like texture - if you stretch it and release it, it pulls back.
Oh man, I heard about that the other day.
(Actually, I heard about people getting salmonella from it. And I still am dying to go try it out.)
I don't know if they have Coldstone around here.
A few years ago, all my Bronzer friends were talking about these ice cream dots. I disremember if they were called dots, or what. But they were like little beads of ice cream. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I kept waiting, but as far as I could tell, they never did make it up this way.
All of the ice cream is like that, or just the freakishly good cake batter kind (which really does sound good)?
A friend's husband runs one of those in... somewhere in Maryland. I've yet to make it there, though. Which is sad, because I bet he'd give me free ice cream. You know, once.
They used to sell ice cream dots at a mall in Anchorage. I don't know if they still do or not. They were yummy. You could mix different flavors to make your own custom flavors. The key was that they were super cold so they wouldn't merge together. After a while in your cup they would, but then it was ok.
Yeah, a friend of mine works at the Evanston store, but I've yet to make it up there.

I've only seen them at amusement parks or state fair. They're kind of neat.
Dippin Dots. I saw them on the Food Network, and I think I saw a store for that for the first time recently, but now I 'm afraid it might have been a dream.

I've only tried the cake batter kind. The last few times I've been near a Cold Stone, they had lines from hell.
Brenda, there's a Cold Stone in Wicker Park, if you get to that neighborhood. (On North Ave, a few blocks east of Damen.)

The new one on Sherman Ave? That's a few doors down from where I used to work....
