Angel: Just admit it: you think you're gonna ride in, save the day, and sweep Buffy off her--Spike: Like you're not thinking the same thing. Angel: I'm already seeing somebody. Spike: What, dog girl?

'The Girl in Question'

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I just threadsucked all of today's messages and will go back and read in a moment, but ... I'm a sore, sore kitten today.

First day back at work and even though I was very careful, I am feeling it. There is the lying on ice packs currently, complete with take-out Mexican taco shop food.

I had a temp at work plaster the side of my back with those icy-hot sticky things midday after I was just wincing. There is possibly a sexual harassment violation in there somewhere, but I did ask clearly first and she knew in advance there would be a bit of bra viewage. It's just in a place that I can't reach, much less with sticky bits.

Also, and this was great, my boss who had been basically a bitca on Friday said I looked a little sore today when she got in at 1 today and told me that if I needed to work half days for the rest of the week, she was good with it. I'm going to try and work full days but it's nice to know I *can* leave early if I need to.

Back to read up on the Bitches' day...

Beth, it's probably just stiff muscles. Maybe a massage and lots of stretching may help.

A chiropracter if you can afford the time.

Now that we're closer to the end of thread....

Did Natter do 26 as a playing cards reference?

Because I want to propose

Spike's Bitches 26: Only Playing with Half a Deck

or

Spike's Bitches 26: Enough for Kitten Poker

Or some variation therof...

Ice, moist heat if it feels good, ibuprofin now and every six hours to take care of pain *and* swelling. I would also advise being incredibly gentle to it, beth. Watch the twisting, lifting, bending, all of the everyday stuff until you can feel if it is just a muscle that got a little sore or something more.

If you've got a chiro, I would rec that unless going is stressful to you. Gentle massage would also be good. And gentle, gentle, gentle streching -- no, really, GENTLE.

Really be just overly delicate and careful until you can suss out how it feels in a little while (like morning). I can't stress that enough.

ION, I spilled a take-away tiny thing of hot sauce on my laptop keyboard while I was eating my taquitos. Which tried to kill it.

After a bit, and many many many tries, the lapop rebooted and even opened Firefox and found the internet, but it got stuck on "g". It is down for the night with the battery out and the cd drive. I will mess with it tomorrow. But it finally seems not dead. Thank you silcone god.

I am taking it as a cosmic sign that I shoudn't mess around on the internet tonight and since I have already checked in with my parents, I can cheerfully throw my phone out of the window if it rings and just read for a short bit and then go to sleep early.
