Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I met a guy named "Sir" once. I thought that was super-weird. Apparently his dad was in the military--dunno if that had something to do with it. But--calling your kid "Sir"??

during our moving process we dealt with a contractor that was named Joseph Guy. Joe Guy! It, er, amused me at the time.

Aw, man, feel better meara and Cindy!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Health vibes for meara and Cindy!

I'm trying to find a picture of the hairstyle I want, and it's driving me bonkers. I found one once, two cuts ago, that was perfect, but I can't remember what site it was from.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

In college, I had two goldfish named Sushi and Sashimi. Favorite fish ever was named Sir Oliver Microfiche (he was a minnow rescued from my junior-high lab and he lived a long and happy life in a mayonnaise-jar pseudo-pond.)

Once my work situation gets stabilized, I'm hoping to get a dog. Something little, that the cat can lord over.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Maidengurl, I am given to understand that greyhounds are very laid back. If they can get in one good run a day - at an off leash dog park, say - they'll spend the rest of their time happily lazing about and leaning against people getting their heads scratched. I assume the smaller racing dogs are similar.

(I'm starting to think my keyboard needs cleaning)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Are (for the most part) not nearly so biddable as a lab, golden or any of the other 4 retrievers.

Ah, good to know. I keep seeing them lumped in with the various retrievers, only smaller, but I'm still in the researching stage.

she needs something a little more laid back.

Maybe she could adopt an older (3+) dog from the pound or a breed rescue group that seems on the calm side? My favorite dog ever was a lab/shepherd mix that ran me off my feet when it was younger. But after ~3-4 years she calmed way down. Still, the puppy stage is way cute.

ETA: here's a link to a dog breed selection form. [link]

ETAA: the form came up with spaniels and retrievers for me, which fits in with what I know about myself.

Dude, Google image search is the fucking BOMB. "Short hair" turned up this (which was the EXACT picture I was looking for) on the first page. All hail the Great Google.

What is even happening?

Oh, Jessica, I love that. Now mark your post, and put a label on your bookmark, for the future.

Hail Google!

I'm very suggestible.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I have, in fact, made my own wrinkle releaser after hearing about Trudy's Mom's success at homebrew

What ratios of water to fabric softener do you use?

perspicacious

I had to look this up, so have learned a new word today.

{{meara}} {{Cindy}} Feel better. Now, please.

Jessica, that hair cut would rock on you.

I had an appointment with a chiropractor this morning, first consultation type thing. The office is all decked out as Madame Pomfrey's Infirmary for today's Harry Potter festival thingy. I got checked out by Madame Pomfrey!

Screw bookmarks, that's going on my hard drive, along with this one, and both are being printed out and taken to the salon with me.

Now I just have to decide whether I want to go into the city (I usually get my hair cut near my office), or find someone new in my neighborhood. My regular place isn't so fantastic that I'd feel bad cheating on them, but finding a new person is always a bit of a crap shoot.
