Thanks Hon. It's reallly, really worry making. Both the mom and her fella are in their 80s and have lived very full lives. (complete with diabetes, heart disease, etc.) I'd just hate for them to end in some scary, desolate accident.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Huzzah, Fay!
Hurry up and post, Emily. We need more good news.
~ma to your friend and her mother, beej.
Oh, Beej, big big vibes to your friend, her mom and mom's companion. I get flinchy every time I read a man-on-the-street article about Katrina -- so many of the people who are worst off, most helpless, most trapped, are the elderly. They're so horribly vulnerable. It just cracks me into pieces.
(And also really, really makes me want to hunt down askye's heartless asshole co-worker and perform a no-anesthesia splenectomy by way of his left nostril.)
(Not that I'm in an emotionally heightened state or anything.)
Fay, that's great news. I'm thrilled for you.
Beej, sending safety~ma towards your friend and her mom.
this is definitely a Moment Of Yay!This is quite the Moment of YAY!!!!! Such lovely news Fay. I am glad to read it.
I want to hear Emily's news now.
beej, I hope they are okay and just waiting out the storm. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
I have done my dishes (two weeks worth), done some of my laundry (two weeks worth) and taken out the trash (again, two weeks worth). My back is definitely not happy, but I think it is getting to the point where I can slowly slowly do things. It felt like I was using it, as opposed to abusing it and tearing more things.
Tomorrow, we work. Talked to my boss and she's back in a better mood. I hope the mood holds until tomorrow when I am back in the office.

Anyone wanna hear another piece of good news?
My best friend from college, whom I haven't seen in almost 7 years, is coming to my wedding. All the way from Seattle. And she's bringing the babies. I'm floored and completely ecstatic. I never expected it.
Stephanie, congrats! That's a big achievement.
Fay, that's great news. I'm very happy you'll still be getting your teaching on.
It's not that big news. It's just, I passed my MTEL. Got a 92 out of 100, with 70 needed to pass. Of course, that was just math. The hard part's going to be the actual teaching.

Even though they cost MORE than an i-Pod, Empress, they are NOT your bride's maid present.
Put 'em back. Right now.
