Hmph. And I even quoted it to you in your LJ entry on this very topic!
But that LJ entry was back in June! (I had to go find it.) I can't even remember what I had for dinner yesterday, much less LJ entries from June!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

ETA: Also, Zen Palace (UWS, near Lincoln Center) is the only NYC vegetarian/vegan place I've eaten so far, and it is delicious. I got a fried noodle dish with many yummy vegetables the first time (called, creatively, "fried noodles with toppings") and a delicious mango wrap the second time.
I'm sad.
Why sad, vw?
Jen, I'm honestly not making light of your statement, but it made me giggle b/c I remembered my rant about commercials with anthropomorphized food -- I mean, take Charlie the Tuna from Starkist Tuna. Here we have a sentient fish that talks and wears a little hat and eyeglasses that call to mind Charles Nelson Reilly. But he talks, and hangs out, and knows other fish -- he's involved in the undersea community. BUT HE'S GOING TO BE LUNCH. And the thing is, he seems really happy to be Starkist tuna, which in turn makes him happy to be someone's future lunch, which would involve, one assumes, his death at the end of a hook. This is really disturbing.
Back in Canberra, there used to be commercials for Cut-Pirce Delli that featured an aggressively cheerful pig with a fixed, staring grin, armed with a meat cleaver that he swished about with abandon. I was never convinced watching the ads that said pig had any intention of winding up on the menu.
t now earwormed with "Cows With Guns"
I think I'm just tired. But, I'm crashing quickly.

vw, I get like that sometimes. Have you eaten dinner? When I'm overtired and/or need to eat a meal, my mood plummets so quickly that it's a little frightening, even when I recognize what's happening.

Yup. BLT and two ears of corn about an hour ago. And it was yummy! Best corn I've had all season (ok...it may very well be the only corn I've had all season). Maybe I need some ice cream. And tea.
ETA: This has been happening recently. I think it's just stress. I go, go, go all day, then I just crash when I let myself sit for five minutes.
Gris, I lurve Zen Palate, but I think Angelica Kitchen is a better vegan restaurant. It's very worth checking out if you're into vegan food.
Or the Canadian HP commercial with the cow with a microphone - Can you imagine, how much I love youuuu, do do de do, do do de dooooo - and the tag line: "Makes Beef Sing"
