Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Gris, I lurve Zen Palate, but I think Angelica Kitchen is a better vegan restaurant. It's very worth checking out if you're into vegan food.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Or the Canadian HP commercial with the cow with a microphone - Can you imagine, how much I love youuuu, do do de do, do do de dooooo - and the tag line: "Makes Beef Sing"

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

All sorts of vibes to GC and her family, and a gentle passing to her grandmother.

And Susan gets all the job-ma I've got, unless P-C still needs any.

I miss bacon dreadfully. I'll be all over that vat-grown bacon the instant it's out.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I want to see the cow singing "Bad To The Bone".

MIL hadn’t seen her GYN in 30 YEARS

Good LORD! Well, here's sending -ma that she might be sensible about all this, and in return the stuff might go smoothly as it can!

If you were in Boston right now I would totally give you your birthday spanking.

Oooh. Damn, I AM missing out!!

Happy Birthday to meara and Jen! (I've slept on both of their couches!)

Hah! Sadly for David, I have a much comfier couch, now (and a much less sketchy house, too).

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, they make me smile muchly! Work was very nice and gave me cards and prezzies, and I brought in two yummy yummy cakes, and they appreciate them. Tomorrow night, work people are going out for karaoke that I organized. Heheheheh.

YAY!!!! I have been approved for CommonHealth, a version of MassHealth, insurance. I can buy my drugs again!

Go VW! That's awesome!

but now I'm worried for Biloxi/Gulfport. That's even closer to home for me, and I definitely have friends there, and friends with family there

Yeah, MinneapolisGirl (who will be here Thursday!)'s parent live in Hattiesburg, MS, and she told me their plan was to hide in the walk-in closet, which was the only place in the house without windows, and they have a tiny generator for her mom's medication. Eep.

I've made Sunday my baby food making day. Last night I did:

OK, the sad part is, all of Aimee's baby food she's making sounds better than what I eat most days...

(Though not today, cause I have leftover goat stew and rice and peas!)

The photogs told me on Friday that I should have online pics 2 weeks after the wedding

Ooh, Maria, will be looking forward to that!

What I found most interesting was watching Bride try to reconcile the different parts of her personality that she shows different groups of friends.

Ooh, that's always tough. I have some friends that I would really never have hang out together...(though it does mean any new friends get bonus points if they seem the sort who would be cool with any/all of my friends!)

Good luck with teh interview Susan!

And -ma to Gloomcookie's family too.

Oh, happy birthday meara! And Jen! And Michael Jackson! Today (your time) also marks the invention of chop suey and the release of Mary Poppins (should've tied a string to her, apparently she's helium-filled).

What is even happening?

Oh no, meara. Here's hoping they come through all right. That's so scary.

Job-ma for Susan!

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

{{{Gloomcookie}}} and a supersized serving of job~ma for Susan.

In meme news (I don't think I remember how to do not-meme news anymore), the trainer at the gym kicked my ass and then some tonight. And we only worked on the lower body. Walking tomorrow may be an optional activity.
