Oh, I don't get to eat the cake until tomorrow (end of term party). It smells really good, though

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I also think of what my parents were cheated out of: neither of them got to see their grand-daughter.
Oh sumi, that's so sad. I'm sorry.
Stephanie, I'd gone to the next page, and then left to have supper and forgotten I'd read your response. I hope things get easier between you and your dad.

Cindy - I must admit that I worry that my niece doesn't have enough relatives. Luckily her mother's parents live close by - - so she at least has some grandparents.
(My other brother's stepdaughter, on the other hand, has a plethera of relatives, including 6 grandparents.)
I would like cake, too. I do not have any, however. Mayhaps I will run across the street and buy cookies.
Or just eat a piece of bread with honey on it. Cake substitute!
I have a question for medically types.
Dad's been taking blood thinners because of his heart attack and staying away from vitamin K becuase of his heart attack and blockage. But he bleeds and bleeds and bleeds and then bleeds some more at the slightest injury.
Yesterday he came over and his ear was bleeding, he said he'd been talking on the phone and when he put the phone down there was blood all over it. Also earlier this week he bumped his hand on the door knob and ended up bleeding all over the place.
Is this normal? I suggested he double check with the doctor, but he can be stubborn. It doesn't seem normal that he could bleed that much from just a little cut.
I also think of what my parents were cheated out of: neither of them got to see their grand-daughter.
Yeah, that's a toughie. I'd still like to get married maybe someday, but I kind of lost any interest in a Wedding since my mom won't be there anyway. Silly stuff, but it gets you. On a more serious note, my sister has recently gotten back together with her ex, and I'm happy about that for a number of reasons. But one of them is that she's the only one of us who will/might have a significant other who knew and loved my mom.
I have a cake baking, as well.
Me too! What weird cake baking kismet.
Askye, your dad's doctor(s) need to know he is experiencing this level of bleeding as a side effect. There may be other meds that will alleviate the bleeding while he is taking this stuff. Or it may be time for him to try some other medications altogether. But I do not believe this is normal, and I can see a number of ways that it could lead to the cure being worse than the disease. Does he have a medical i.d. stating what-all he is taking, that can be easily found on him in case of an emergency?
ETA: And now for something completely different. [link]
