Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I need a George Foreman Grill.
Also last night in a fit of cleaning induced by extreme sleep deprevation I seem to have thrown out my box grater (a really nice one), 1 plate that I really like (I got 4 from target to make a set), both my drain things, two sponges, and maybe something else.
I have no idea what possessed me to throw these things away. At first I thought it was a bizarre dream, then I went looking in the kitchen and discovred I really did it. All the stuff is in the huge outside garbage can, but I'd have to turn the can on its side to get to the stuff and I don't love the things that much.
Didn't know the couple, but thought it was a good idea.
Good idea, but I am thinking it is kinda strange to end up at a wedding where you don't know the couple.
Are George Foreman grills hard to keep clean? I've only used my parent's and it was scrupulously clean but stepmom is kinda a neatnik, bless her 409-filled heart. I kinda want one but I know that I won't use it if it's too nook-and-crannied to be easily cleaned, I won't end up using it.

Ambien? Cause it's a bizarre side effect but still...
It's 84 in here... Ugh. Rest of the house is 93. More ugh.
Not Ambien. I only slept maybe 4 hrs each night last week, and then I last night i didn't fall asleep until .... I don't know, I was so tired but couldn't relax... I think I finally crawled into bed around 2 am. I should be asleep right now.
Maybe I thought it would be easier to throw stuff away rather than clean it.

Well, the newer versions have a removable grill plate that makes cleaning them a whole lot easier. But the simplest versions, yeah, are a bit of a bitch. The bad kind.

It was strange, being that we went to a party and a wedding broke out. But I knew the host and a bunch of the guests, and in a sense, it didn't surprise me that this happened with that combination of people.

We have an older small GF grill with an unremovable grill. Can't put it in the dishwasher. Still works, but a new Foreman is on my list of things I'd like to purchase if/when we ever have money again.
So, is using a Foreman grill actually like grilling outside? Does it just give the appearance of being grilled or does it taste like it's been grilled outside?
Just the appearance. And it's a good way to cook something without generating a lot of heat on a warm day. We do grilled cheese and panini type sandwiches on it, or cook a chicken breast or two to chop up in a salad.
a removable grill plate
I will make sure I look for this if I am ever in the market for one.
Mmm, grilled sandwiches.

Oh, you did know the host at least then. I might have misread before. I think having a party and throwing in a little legal ceremony is perfect but I know there are others who dream of the big wedding. To each their own. The party you described sounds like it was fun.
I have the bedroom door mostly shut (an inch open, for kitty paws so they are able to get in and out) with the window AC on. Kittenish was happily lounging with me. Then she jumped off of the bed and tore around the room. She dead stopped in front of the door, turned and meowed at me. I opened the door and she tore out. Weird cat.
The removable grill plates are great. Makes it simple to wash them in the sink (the nonstick is good enough that I've almost never had to do that much scrubbing) and I know people who've put them in the dishwasher with no ill effects. (It doesn't say they're dishwasher safe, but it doesn't say anywhere not to put them in the dishwasher, either.) Some of my friends have older ones without the removable plates, and they pretty much stopped using them because they were too hard to keep clean.

Ah! Now that sounds like a very good reason to get one. I still might do chicken breasts because it's a good low-fat way of cooking, but real grilling to me means the taste of a charcoal fire.
