I miss Oz. He'd get it. He wouldn't say anything, but he'd get it.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{{{{{{{{Sassy}}}}}}}}}} I'm so sorry that things have been so rough for you. I hope things turn around soon.

Cass, don't make me come down there. Be good and listen to your doctor.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Don't make me come over there and tie you to the chaise.
You know, except for the back pain, not actually seeing a down side to this plan either...

I mean, a weekend confined to bed? There's a lot that could go right there.

Be good and listen to your doctor.
I am *so* being good! My doctor just forgot to tell me that I wasn't supposed to go to work... I really might have listened to him even.

I should have realized there was a problem when he didn't tell me to stop drinking caffeine and eating any dairy like he usually does. He's mean and doesn't understand the beauty of the cafe au lait.

I let the PT guys beat me up good today though and, now that I have achieved dongle-age, I am not planning to do more than swap dvds and grab some food for a couple of days.

I still have to catch up but it might have to wait until morning.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I wonder if any guy has ever been asked "Do you take this woman" and just replied "You know, I'd thought so, but after seeing the way she was over getting this day ready, I just don't know if I can live like that."

My mininon is this close to that. Though it's not so much her as her parents, and the fact that she hasn't so far taken offense at her parents' behavior.

Silence means security silence means approval

What with the cuteness of you two, if you weren't married we'd have to slash you...

I think that was the point of Susan's first novel.

Right now I'm playing with the Timbuk2 Custom Messenger Bag Builder and trying to decide between spending my meager spending money on that or on a bag from LL Bean. My current work bag is giving up the ghost after just two months.

Maybe I should just grow up and go for a real briefcase.

Yay for getting some medical attention, Cass!

Yay for Askye, just cuz I like cheering you on.

(((((((Sassy))))))

Am now casting about for ideas on how to out-cute Susan and Dylan. Hm, not possible, as all I have is a complaint about Harvey transferring all his computer-cuddle time to Dan.

Fickle cat.

This would be a great opening scene for a film.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

dw and Susan are cute. So are Andi and Dan, Hec and JZ, and Nora and Tom, though I haven't seen Tom about so much lately. Not to mention MM and Aimee. Hon, I know you'll be glad when this wedding is over and done. I'm so sorry it's being so stressful for you.

Lyra, that was one of the loveliest bridal portraits I've seen. The dress and veil are beautiful, and you are radiant and oh so happy. Beautiful picture, thank you for sharing it. After the praise of Jess' wedding dress, I'd love to see a picture, if there's one available.

(((Sassy))) It sounds like you're about due for an upturn of fortune. Wishing one for you.

Cass, I'm so glad you got the maddening insurance stuff straightened out. After all the work you did beforehand it was just so disheartening that it all went pear-shaped anyway.

But it's straight now, and you've seen the doctor, and the PT person, and you have the good drugs, and movies, and a comfy couch. Settle in and let the back get better.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh, billytea. Actuarial charm and risque humor. What would we do without you?

Normally I get accused of risque charm and actuarial humour.

Give me a big red button and I shall poke at it to see what happens.

Well, that's blabbed all my bedroom secrets.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The cats woke me up, fighting. Since 4am I have given them both time-outs, twice. I have noticed that there are lights on in the garage of the house the nice neighbors moved out of a couple weeks ago. I heard some weird sounds coming from the driveway - distinctly small animal rather than potential human intruder.

deadheskdeadheskdeadhesk

ETA: Small animal noises from driveway? Not so much an exterior small animal as an interior bat. Harvey came trotting into the bedroom a while ago, with it in his mouth. He was proudly growling over his catch. I woke Daniel - mostly in the faint hopes that the bat was still alive and might need to be caught again. Had I realized it was an ex-bat, I could have dealt with it alone. Heh. Could have, for certain. Might still have chosen to be girly and wake up the man to handle it.

Our wings are not tired.

They had the sweetest news story last night. I ONLY watch local news when we have a hurricane, because normally it is only violent crime or car crashes. But now it is all stormy stuff.

So they were showing people on the beaches doing turtle rescue. There were all these itty bitty baby turtles that were stuck in seaweed and not strong enough to battle the rough waves. They were gathering them to hold at the wildlife reserve until after the hurricane. When the seas are normal again they will release the little cuties.

It was all kinds a cute.

I wonder if any guy has ever been asked "Do you take this woman" and just replied "You know, I'd thought so, but after seeing the way she was over getting this day ready, I just don't know if I can live like that."

Lots of people tried to talk BIL into doing this after listening to his about to be bride screaming outside the church. She was screaming at the top of her lungs that it was her wedding and things would be done her way. Alas, he went through with it and we have listened to her scream in the same manner for the last 10 years. Sometimes it is a clue of what's to come.
