I know I've only met B&E a handful of times, less than ten, which doesn't make me all experty but reading about this is just breaking my heart. It's like they just don't know how to take care of their friends and they are letting MoH take total advantage and turn something that is supposed to be a celebration into a spectacle. It makes me so hurt and angry for you

Fine, I get it. And I support that. But MoH went about everything completely wrong, and, has been ripped a new one from Bride, as I just found out from Bride.

Ellie got 3 shots today. She cried pretty hard, but stopped once i nursed her. Anyway, she is now 11 lbs and 23.5 inches.

Well, the bride doesn't get to decide what kind of shower(s) she has; nor does she get to foist a financial burden on her friends just b/c she feels entitled to be Pwincess For a Day.
Honestly. I know she's your friend, Aimee, but really. It's not good manners to be the bride and say, "The shower that all of you throw for me? The one that all of you pay for and that I don't pay a cent for, because I'm the bride? Yeah, I want it to be ritzy and fancy."
You want ritzy and fancy, you've got an actual wedding and reception for that.
