This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Today is a wierd day.

Work was good - I had a review that was really good, with a raise, and some unofficial new duties. Technically, I am not qualified to do them by title. but the way the buearcracy works - you start doing the job then it can become official. I am very happy about this.

I am not as happy with my body today. While I was at the grocery store ( after work , no dinner yet) I got hungry and yet felt very ill, very tired, and , extreame dry mouth and strong need for the bathroom. All on the mild side but combinded they were really annoying. Possibilities were 1) low blood sugar 2) a result of not takeing one of my allergy/asthma meds for 2 days or 3) not drinking enough water while on a HBP med. BS was a little low. Food has helped , along with water, and sitting - but it was just annoying. Esp since I am not sure who is thr true culprit.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Thanks for the article, tommyrot. Yeah, that's pretty much what my parents are doing for me, I think.

I love that they worked in the whole "bio-data" thing. Hee hee hee.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm thinking "love-cum-arranged" is not the best term they could have come up with....

Well, maybe not in that order.

Hope that doesn't happen often for you, beth. Or if it does, that it happens in such a way that you quickly figure out what the matter is, so you can know best what to do to keep it from happening.

move out and draw fire

mini-meara:

Mine is a scene in our kitchen at home, in which I mention that I love to write, and my mom says that's okay, I can still write as a hobby, and my dad says, and I will never forget, "You're not going to waste your brain with writing!"

P-C, I think you have Simon Tam's parents. You might want to warn your sister.

I went to the bathroom today and found Owen happily dialing the telephone.

Yesterday my DH's new employee brought his son (age 2) into the office. Kid knows what to do with a phone, so he picked one up and started hollering into it. Thing is, at the embassy, if you have the handset up long enough you eventually get connected to the (Greek) operator. There was much confusion.

Between that and reading about Leif's exploits, it's like looking into the future.

It's from Bec about AS

Awww. That's astoundingly nice.

3) not drinking enough water while on a HBP med

I first read this as "Half-Blood Prince" med and thought the Harry Potter merchandizing had gone a little overboard. Hope your body gets into line for you today, beth.

I'm a wee bit stressed. I found out last night, late, that our house guest who is arriving tomorrow and staying 10 days is bringing his girlfriend.

For just him, I'd done no prep - he's been a friend forever and is way casual and nuestra casa es su casa. But now I have to hump ass to get the place presentable, and lay in groceries...and I'm doubting that she'll like any of the food I make, being Moldovan.

I did just about e-smack him last night. Not for the bringing of her, but I asked for a little bio about her. He said "I sent Robert a copy of her passport." I was like, "No, Mr. Political Wonk, I don't care about her citizenship. Does she smoke? Is she allergic to cats? Does she drink? Does she have any food restrictions?" Gah.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I hope the house prep comes together easily for you.

Heh.

It is so bedtime for me...

I'm sort of out of ideas on where to put the litterbox. Otherwise the house prep is proceeding apace.

I did think this exchange was funny: Me: How old is she? My friend (age 40): 24. And a half.

Protesting a bit much?

Randomly, "bogart" (I suspect as a direct result of listening to the audio HP books that are my commute amusement) has replaced both "bother" and, more convienently depending on the company I am around, "bugger" in my vocabulary. It's a slightly amusing, if capricious, word trend. And I suppose anything that keeps me from blurting out bugger at work is good. Eventually someone is bound to realize what I am saying.

zzzzzzzzzzz

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

So, John Crichton is my TeeVee boyfriend. In fact, I think he may well be my TeeVee husband.

While I have many TeeVee girlfriends (Lindsay Bluth Fünke, come to mama, but don't step on Summer, and while you're at it, help Scully and Faith out with their clothing, for they have too much of it. Oh, and careful around Aeryn. She's a bit touchy.), I seem to have allowed all other TeeVee boyfriends to fall off the radar.

I'm not even sure if I miss them.

Raq, the and a half makes ALL the difference.
