Daniel has, in fact, been shoe-shopping with me. Most of this was shopping for his shoes, however.
Technicality.

I hate shoe shopping. I always find lovely shoes that don't fit or affordable shoes that don't fit. And then I go and try on the ugly ones, just to see, and of course they fit.
I have a clean house. It hasn't had a deep cleaning for awhile, Mom came by and we scrubbed and put away. My living room lookes more lived in and decorated than before. My closet is still a mess.
We also bathed Anna, she's been shedding like crazy and with the fans going tufts of fur go everywhere. Plus she's hacked up a few hairballs (including on my clean sheets). Giving her a bath was much less traumatic than I thought it would be. We used the hand held shower and scrubbed her down, shampooed her and watched the tufts of fur go down the drain. Then we scrubbed and rinsed and watched more fur go down the drain, we kept this up until she started to get really pissy. I'm pretty sure we could have made a kitten with the fur that we washed off of her.
Then I dried her. And more fur came off. Then I brushed her and still more fur came off.
She's a short haired cat so you'd think she wouldn't be shedding that much.
Since she handled the whole bathing thing fairly well I'm planning on making it a weekly thing.
Adding to the chorus:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAY!!!!!!!
Apologies for my tardiness.

The trick is to cut out the first part, and just go straight for the ugly shoes. In and out of the shop in five minutes, insh'allah.
...what?
Where does all that fur come from, is what I want to know.
I, too, am Ginger and Fay.
Askye, are you thinking the bath will control the shedding? Or are you wanting to de-flea here? For shedding solutions, try [link]
I have the evil tomato-chomping squirrels, too. I just rarely put them in the category of "cute." They're more in the "die, die, evil creature" category, along with rats, mice, roaches, mosquitoes and deer.
While the chipmunks do spend their lives digging up my potted plants and taking the occasional chomp out of a tomato, they make up for with the whole chasing, chittering Chip and Dale thing.
Andi,
I'm thinking regular baths will help with the shedding. I think I got off more by bathing her than just brushing. I feed her good cat food (okay not recently since I was kinda broke), normally NutraCat. I think that's the name. And I have a curry comb that I use on her.
I haven't bathed her much because she used to make such a fuss, but this time she did really well.
Lucy does not approve of baths, and turns into a squirming, grumbling shark. That does not mean that she doesn't like water, though. My Sunday thus far:

I have a chain link fence, so I don't worry too much about deer. The evil squirrels of destruction are right up there nowadays.
Before they started invading my garden I was all "Oh! look! Squirrels!" Now it's "Git! Get out of here, varmints!"
