Yay GC! Good luck with the scholastic stuff.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

If it's out there, it in here.
It's coming from inside b.org?

I'm gonna buy the Kaplan and Barron books and start studying this weekend. Any hints from experienced GRE-takers out there would be greatly appreciated. I'm especially afraid of the math. t shudder

I took the GRE, but it was back in '89 so that probably doesn't help much. It didn't seem that different from the SAT, with a bit of AP exam thrown in, IIRC. But it has probably changed a bit in the past 16 years.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am Calli, except I took it a year later. And I only ever took the general. But it was remarkably like the SAT.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I took it in...yikes...1988. So, I am definitely no help.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Congrats, GC! The GRE is easy. Like -t said, it's like the SAT.

The hiring manager finally called back, Christ. I was listening to Puddle of Mudd and leaving an LJ comment, and suddenly the phone rang, and I recognized the number. And I was like OH SHIT. So I quickly turned off the music and went Away and pulled up my Interview notes.

He was just calling to apologize for not having gotten back to me, that things were hectic and they were still definitely interested. I was in no danger of losing the job since the position still hasn't been posted yet. We set up a time to talk one week from now. Which, if it goes well, will lead to an interview down there. Which will kill me dead.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

GC, I just took the GREs in December, and I took a Kaplan class which was very helpful for me. If you get the book, they should explain their "method" which of course I can't remember exactly now, but was a good time management/logic approach for both the Math and the Verbal.

Also, the pointers for the essay were good.

Hey. New board.

I took the GRE less than a year ago. I found it not too bad, also, very very much like the SAT.

Books help.

I'm actually planning on starting teaching SAT and GRE test prep (if Princeton Review ever actually gets back to me... which they should!), but I haven't had my training or I'd give you The Big Hints.
