Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

contradancing which I don't know how to do.

Oh please -- basic contra takes all of five minutes to learn. If you can walk in rhythm, you can contra dance.

Hey. New board.

basic contra takes all of five minutes to learn

Yeah. It's beating it in 12 minutes without losing a life that's hard.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Yeah. It's beating it in 12 minutes without losing a life that's hard.

My brother's been playing a lot of Doom. I never realised this game was so funny.

brillig

Contra dancing? Does this involve Nicaragua and the Sandinistas?

Yup, Connie's showing her age.

Surgery went well, Hubby's in his room, all groggy. The surgeon said he didn't see anything in the neighborhood that's likely to cause problems in the near future, so the idea that some sort of full recuperation might be possible is not out of the question. I think I said that vaguely enough to distract the fates.

On the heart front, Dr. Hwang did a check and said, "Your heart is now in perfectly normal sinus rhythm." No extra squiggles in the EKG.

Next milestone in my life: Billy Idol concert Saturday. Also, packing up the house with a man who can't lift things. The words "it can't get any worse" are permanently excised from my vocabulary.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay for good surgery, Connie! Here's to a great Idol interlude, followed by appropriate amounts of energy for packing.
