Contra dancing? Does this involve Nicaragua and the Sandinistas?
Yup, Connie's showing her age.
Surgery went well, Hubby's in his room, all groggy. The surgeon said he didn't see anything in the neighborhood that's likely to cause problems in the near future, so the idea that some sort of full recuperation might be possible is not out of the question. I think I said that vaguely enough to distract the fates.
On the heart front, Dr. Hwang did a check and said, "Your heart is now in perfectly normal sinus rhythm." No extra squiggles in the EKG.
Next milestone in my life: Billy Idol concert Saturday. Also, packing up the house with a man who can't lift things. The words "it can't get any worse" are permanently excised from my vocabulary.
Glad to hear the surgery went well, connie. Sending lots of healing~ma his way.
Yay for good surgery, Connie! Here's to a great Idol interlude, followed by appropriate amounts of energy for packing.
I'm glad to hear the surgery went so well, connie!

Woo hoo on the excellent surgery news Connie.
Yay, connie! Happy surgery news! You go rest now, young woman.
Connie, great news on the surgery!
I'm listening to samples off of Voltaire's album Boo Hoo. It's pretty funny. He's got a song called, "BRAINS!"
Dude, even *I* have that song -- it's from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and if you are around and can hop on AIM, I can shoot it to you.

I met an 18-year-old girl tonight who looked like this amazing combination of our Jen K and Natalie Portman. It was a little unnerving, actually, and I almost asked her if she had a sister in Boston.
