Susan, I'm sorry to hear of your loss.
Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Re cloth vs. disposable: The biggest and most prominent of the "cloth diapers aren't really any better, so there, la la la!" studies have been funded by Procter & Gamble and Kimberly-Clark, makers of, quelle surprise, disposables.
All the articles I Googled seemed to be furiously biased in one direction or another (mostly granola, admittedly), but anyhow there's approximately a metric shitload of data hiding amidst the rants here: [link]
And, I bow in awe before Heather's awesome treehousing skillz. If Zmayhem ever ends up with anything approximating a house, including a backyard that has anything resembling a tree, we're flying you out for a consultation.
Go comma. Choose comma. As they say.
Comma duly chosen.

Maybe I take these things a little too personally (one of my very best friends is a cop), but it just pinged me HARD (obviously). The fact that one of the interviews attached to the story was the shooting victim's girlfriend doing a whole "This is so typical of the cops" thing really got in my craw too. Anyway, done with ranty now. I think.
Self. My mother has offered to make some for me when she gets back from the road trip. We'll be repurposing old flannel sheets.
OMG you are a hero. Although it's really the only way to save money. Having used a cloth service for both babies, I really don't think it's much cheaper than disposables.
I still feel eco-guilt every.single.diaper.
Raq, considering you're in an area of the world where the water and sewage systems are a little behind the US, I'd say you were making a good decision. It's a trade off, really. There's no such thing as no-eco-footprint diapers no matter what choice you make.
Me, I'm just lazy. I have very little guilt about that.
Paging Lyra Jane! Please pick up the white courtesy phone in terminal A....
I mailed off the imp of Obeah to you this afternoon. The Post Office computer says it should be there Friday, so keep an eye out.
I would totally design a treehouse for Emmett. He needs lots of little windows and peepholes. Superhero Pirates always need to be on the lookout.
Awesome. I will watch for it and report back on its playdough-ness, Karma-ness, or combination thereof. Thanks again.
Me, I'm just lazy. I have very little guilt about that.
t sits next to Cashmere
I lost any fear I had of washing cloth diapers when I dealt with a few spectacular containment failures and the dirty Onesies that resulted from said failures.
I am also lazy, which is why our experiment will involve 6 AIOs, 2 Fitted almost AIOs, and a bunch of prefolds to make up the difference. Oh, and liners. Flushable liners.
Stephanie gave me cloth advice, which helped.
