Spike's Bitches 25 to Life

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Well, that certainly makes up for having both the Giffords.

Thanks!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I hope that your mom's treatment is effective, and that her other conditions can be brought under control, as well.

Thank you.

How is your dad holding up?

He's doing better, now that Mom's in the hosptial. For a while there he was her primary care giver, with me relieving him most weekends. That's just not doable long-term for a 79 year old man with a heart condition. I'm glad he's finally accepted the need for professional care until Mom's able to take care of most of her own needs. It took some convincing.

Susan, I'm glad you've thought of some solid actions you can take to get the controllable issues dealt with. I hope you can make it to the game, if you can do so in a way that leaves your mind as easy as possible, given the givens.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

TASK FOR DAVID

I need photos of Ginger Rogers - around 1936-is - that have her hair parted on the side and pin-curly on the bottom. Like how her hair is in "Swing Time". I found the hairstyle I want for the Five Star Wedding of Snoot.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm glad he's finally accepted the need for professional care until Mom's able to take care of most of her own needs. It took some convincing.
I'm glad for this too. It seems like the hardest decision to make.
Well, that certainly makes up for having both the Giffords.
Yep, Majerle is 10 today. I'm always glad when people have met her. Such a sweetie, even if she is deathly afraid of new people. Today she wanted to snuggle this morning instead of letting me get up and go to work. The alarm went off and she moved from lying next to me to climbing up and perching on my back. If she'd had thumbs she might have skewered a flag in my back and claimed this human for herself.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Awwww.

I've been not posting so much lately, so I'm just giving

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

to everybody who's having stuff, especially family stuff, to deal with

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

move out and draw fire

Even when they're fun, they're not play.

I agree with the advice that you need to do what feels right to you, but remember, life goes on. You need to play. Maybe it's just me, but I feel that living my life to the fullest is the best homage I can pay to my (both deceased) parents.
