Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
You said you'd never tell!!!!!
Back of hand. I believe she was being a dog at the time.
Crap.
I was being so productive this morning that I was ready to leave for work early. My car had other plans. It died about five feet from my drive-way. On a hill.
I had to put it in reverse and coast down the hill, back into my drive-way, where my car is currently sitting.
Today sucks.
Deena, when Kara starts with the Snoopy kisses (licking faces), that's when you should truly freak.
seeking validation from BuffistaMoms:
My condo neighbors just had a baby on Friday, yay! And they're coming home today, yay! I put together a little bag of goodies, on the advice of my sister, on what would be useful to have on hand. The bag has: newborn diapers (they should fit for a bit, the baby was under 7 pounds at birth), Shout wipes for stains on the run, travel/disposable changing pads, and a Johnson & Johnson sample pack of lotions, baby shampoo, diaper creme, etc. Also, half dozen homemade blueberry muffins and the Target gift receipt.
It's their first, and I am sure they have lots of cute clothes and stuffed animals and designer diaper bags and such like, and I think they will have lots of folks cooking for them over the next month or so (I am planning on making lasagne and other easy to cook/eat things after about 4-6 weeks, when the initial fuss dies down) so I wanted to get them something practical, though I kind of feel a little dopey now that it's done.
Did I do OK?
She used to do that. We got her to stop by telling her we'd rip her tongue out by the roots. erm, by gently encouraging her to use her creativity in other ways.
Nicole, sorry about the car crap.
Nora, I think you did great. The only other thing I can think of would be hand sanitizer, but I bet they got a sample of that at the hospital. Maybe wet wipes? You can never have too many wet wipes.
Oh, Kara! What a silly girl.
Timelies everyone! I'm surprisingly chipper this morning. I think knowing the results of Toto's test has really calmed me a bit and shown me that I can handle more than I think I can.
Also, had a nice evening with the 'rents last night. It was dad's birthday, and I think he had a really nice time.
Nora, definitely have Tom send an e-mail similar to what Deena said. Networking is a really powerful tool. If you want someone to chat more with Tom about the powers of networking, he could talk to my mom. She's all about the networking, and is keeping up with her networking groups (and doing mentoring) even though she has a job now. It's a give and take kind of thing...and it's really powerful tool in the marketplace right now.
Oh, Nicole, that sucks.
Deena, freaking the minions out is an important skill. Unpredictability, and all that.
Ack! It took me too long to post that. Poor Nicole! Whatcha gonna do now?
Nora, I think you did great. That's very sweet of you, and sounds perfect.
